Traits & Me

When you ask someone what traits they think make up a leader, you will receive a plethora of different answers. These answers are based off of the way that person has been shaped through their experiences and the type of leader that they look up to and strive to become.

For me, I have always seen Ellen DeGeneres as a leader role model. She is confident, honest, compassionate, and has the drive to take action on many issues around the world, helping people in many different ways. She puts other people above herself and raises others up. She not only finds the positive aspect of any given situation, but also brings light to new solutions for those involved to make them optimistic as well. Through the various organizations Ellen is a part of, through her show that supports many causes and inspirationally impacts others, and her general attitude on life, you can see that Ellen is a genuine human being whose goal is to inspire.

I aspire to lead with the characteristics that Ellen has. I want to be known as a strong, compassionate person who is involved in making changes to better the world. I believe I can make a difference with these qualities by constantly striving to improve myself and those around me.
