Free Write: My Inspiring Classmates

Today, I want to reiterate how amazing my classmate’s blogs are. Last week, I gave a few students an “inspiration award” because through their blogs I felt connected to them as well as motivated to be a better, stronger, more creative leader. However, this week, I want to recognize my class as a whole. I believe that the leadership blogs allow us as upper level students, some of us being only slightly acquainted although we have been familiar faces and names for quite a few years now, to get to know each other through a more creative avenue. I am able to see my fellow student’s characters and what they truly stand for, that of which I would not necessarily see as easily with the short in-class conversations we engage in.

Each student has opened up about his/her values and what makes them unique, and every week as I view the blogs, I become re-inspired. It's really reassuring to know that although we all have different views, we can constantly build each other up. I am grateful to be able to share such a personal insight on leadership with each classmate, as we take this journey growing together into the leaders we seek to become. All that being said, I would like to give a shout out to each student in HTM 491 -- thanks for being true to yourselves and for inspiring me on the daily -- you guys are awesome!
